Privacy Policy
Who this applies to
Quote Atlas Publisher ("the app") is a private tool operated by the owner of the Quote Atlas channel to upload that channel's own videos. It is not offered to the public and has one user: the channel owner. This policy explains what the app does with the owner's Google account and YouTube channel data.
YouTube API Services
The app uses YouTube API Services. By using it, the account holder agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
What the app accesses
With the owner's consent, the app requests two Google permissions:
- Upload videos to YouTube (
youtube.upload) to publish the channel's videos with their titles, descriptions and visibility settings. - View the YouTube account (
youtube.readonly) to confirm which channel is connected and that an upload was accepted, and to check the visibility YouTube applied to it.
The app only ever acts on the Quote Atlas channel. It refuses to run if a different channel is connected.
What the app stores
The only Google data the app stores is the OAuth authorization (a refresh token and a short-lived access token). It is kept on the owner's own computer, encrypted with the Windows account's data protection, and is never transmitted anywhere except to Google to obtain access. The app also keeps a local log of its own uploads (video file, title, time and result). Video content and metadata are the owner's own material.
What the app does not do
- It does not sell, rent, share or disclose Google user data to any third party.
- It does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling or any purpose other than publishing the owner's own videos.
- It does not collect data about viewers, subscribers or other YouTube users.
- It does not transfer Google user data to AI or machine-learning models.
Retention and revoking access
The stored authorization is kept for as long as the owner wants the app connected. The owner can revoke the app's access at any time at Google account permissions, which immediately invalidates the stored token; the owner can also delete the local token file and upload log from the computer. Data held by YouTube itself, such as uploaded videos, is governed by YouTube's own terms and can be removed from YouTube Studio.
Changes
If the app's use of Google data changes, this policy will be updated and the date above revised.
